OpenCovibe

OpenCovibe is a local-first desktop application built with Tauri v2 and Svelte 5, designed to upgrade the terminal experience of AI coding CLIs like Claude Code into a feature-rich graphical interface. The project communicates with upstream CLIs via a bidirectional stream-JSON protocol, rendering tool calls (like Read, Edit, Bash) as visual cards with syntax highlighting, and providing full session history replay with checkpoint-based file rewind (dry-run supported).

Beyond core interaction, OpenCovibe solves the pain point of multi-model switching, supporting hot-switching across 15+ API providers including DeepSeek, Kimi, Zhipu, Ollama, and more. A built-in Usage Analytics module offers per-model token consumption and cost tracking with daily heatmaps, stacked model charts, and session-level statistics. For teams and complex tasks, it provides a visual Agent editor (form/source mode), a multi-Agent Team Dashboard (task lists, teammate status, message streams), and an Activity Monitor with real-time hook event streams, tool activity timelines, and sub-Agent nested card tracking.

Remote browser access is enabled through an embedded web server combined with ngrok/cloudflared tunnels. File and memory management includes a File Explorer (syntax highlighting, Markdown/image preview, Git diff view) and a Memory Editor for CLAUDE.md and project/user-level memory files. Additional advanced features include Preview & Element Picker (local preview window with interactive element picking), Ralph Loop (auto-iterate a prompt until completion conditions are met), visual permission rule management, SSH remote host configuration with key generation wizard, a Claude Code plugin marketplace, and MCP server management.

All data (config, session events, memory files) is stored purely locally under ~/.opencovibe/ with no database or cloud backend. The UI supports Dark/Light themes, fully customizable keyboard shortcuts with conflict detection, system tray minimization with native notifications, English and Simplified Chinese localization, and rich slash commands (/model, /diff, /todos, /doctor, /ralph, etc.).

Claude Code is fully supported; Codex support is in progress. Target platforms: macOS (primary), Windows, and Linux (functional but not fully tested). Build prerequisites: Node.js ≥ 20, Rust ≥ 1.75. Licensed under Apache-2.0.
